Founded in 2019, YourStake was formed from a vision to make portfolios feel personal.

We recognized that advisors struggled with delivering personalized experiences and advice because it was as too difficult and took valuable time away from other aspects of their practice.

This led us to create a platform that simplifies advisors' work and enhances the client journey to drive personalized investing.

Our Founders Meet
Co-founders Gabe Rissman and Patrick Reed met as student environmental advocates at Yale, working to persuade the endowment to shift away from fossil fuel investments. With his student club, Gabe became the first student to file a shareholder resolution, which succeeded in the subsequent year.

2019
YourStake is founded and registered as a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) with a mission to align client values with investments.

As a PBC, our social mission is part of our legal mandate in our articles of incorporation.
2020
YourStake introduced the “NoScore” data approach in 2020 to offer a transparent alternative to traditional ESG data without relying on one-size-fits-all scores or complex ratings.

YourStake now powers multiple Indexes using this unique data process including the Adasina Social Justice Index

2021
The first client-friendly portfolio impact reports are launched, which pair with a behavioral values questionnaire to showcase how investments align with clients’ unique value personas.
2022
YourStake collaborated with First Affirmative Financial Network to launch VADIS, the Values-Aligned Direct Indexing Solution to bring deeper personalization capabilities to Advisors using transparent data and industry-leading software to Direct Indexing.

Meanwhile YourStake further expanded their platform with advanced Fund and Company Screeners, performance data reporting, and a portfolio designer to aid in making personalization transparent, data-driven, and intuitive for Advisors.
2023
YourStake launches Advisor Core in September at FutureProof, seeing the massive potential of AI in Financial Services, combining expertise in AI, Data-Science, while understanding the key pain points of Advisors.

YourStake and SEI partner to enhance their personalized investor experience using the Behavioral Values Questionnaire and Reporting Solution.

2024
YourStake enhances Advisor Core with a risk tolerance questionnaire, custom branding abilities, additional analytics while increasing statement extraction speed and accuracy.

Major partnerships signed with Broadridge, Mercer Advisors, and Apex Fintech Solutions.
