YourStake Compliance FAQs

At your request, our team of experts can engage with your compliance department to walk them through our product, our company, and the ways in which we keep you and your clients safe and secure.

Below are some frequently asked questions that you or your compliance team may have.
What is our company history?
YourStake was founded in 2019, and serves around 500 clients, from RIAs and broker-dealers to asset managers and advisor technology platforms. YourStake works with many of the largest financial advisory firms in the USA, and has gone through compliance approval with all of them.
How does YourStake ensure my data security and privacy?
YourStake is SOC 2 Type 2 certified and complies with all regionally applicable privacy regulations where we operate, such as GDPR or the California Online Privacy Protection Act. YourStake adheres to industry best practices on security. Sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Advisors may use YourStake’s service without sharing any personal information about clients. Any personal information about any client will be visible to the advisor, but will not be visible to anyone other than the advisor.
Does YourStake interact with my clients in any way?
YourStake offers tools for advisor-client communication, and only contacts clients when directed by the advisor.
Are YourStake Reports considered client-facing materials that require FINRA approvals?
All YourStake reports and materials are not considered advertisements when the advisor uses reports on a “one on one” basis with individual clients.

For any other use, the advisor must make their own determination regarding the applicability of regulatory requirements. YourStake does not solicit individuals to become clients of advisors, and there is no compensation agreement between YourStake and advisors tied to solicitation activities. Thus, rule 206(4)-3 is not implicated.

YourStake does not belong to any of the enumerated categories of financial industry affiliates required to be disclosed in Form ADV Part 1A (page 16, item 7).
